The scholarship provides three years of financial support, including tuition and monthly living allowance, housing, visa support, health care insurance, and round-trip airfare (with one exception: the program in Translation and Interpretation is a two-year award). Grantees also become part of a network of Fulbright grantees in Taiwan – one of the largest Fulbright programs in the world – and an even greater network of Fulbright grantees over its 75-year history. Fulbright’s reputation is well-deserved, as one of the foremost educational and cultural exchange programs in the world.
These Mandarin-taught programs are well-suited to students’ educational and professional aspirations. They will not only extend their professional learning and expertise, but do so in an invigorating cultural environment. Taiwan is warm, welcoming, open, creative, dynamic, entrepreneurial – an innovation incubator in the heart of Asia.
The grant includes full immersion Mandarin-language study. Not only will students improve to near-fluency in Chinese, but they will come away with a Master’s Degree at a leading university.
